                                LAND OF PHARAOHS AND PYRAMIDS  

               Nearly 5000 years ago there was a kingdom by Nile in a place called Egypt. The king was known as the Pharaoh. People belived he is an incarnation of the god. The people of Egypt built a great civilisation, they built ships and sailed to other countries. They built great buildings. They carved and painted lovely paintings.  

                       

       Three Egyptian kings - Khufu, his son khafre, and his grandson Menkure - each ordered the people to built him a pyramid, the pyramids were to be he Kings tombs. After the kings death his body was carefully prepared and wrapped in many layers of cloths (in a process called mummification). Then it was placed in a splendid coffin that was placed in a room middle of the pyramid.

                 The pyramids can still be seen today in the town of Giza. it took thousands of workers to build the pyramid, but no one knew how the ancient people built this great structure without heavy machinery.

                Egypt is also known as the gift of Nile, so the civilisation is Nile valley civilisation. Egypt is very well known for its cotton grown on the banks of Nile river. Egypt is like 'Oasis of Sahara'. The climate is warm all round the year but during night it will drop drastically.

              Egypt is known for is welcoming attitude on tourists. There tons of places to visit in the land of pharaohs. From the modern suez canal to the ancient pyramids, Egypt has a lot of tourist attractions. There are any UNESCO sites and national mouments built in different era. The city of Alexandria was built by the great conqueror 'Alexander, the great' is situated on the mouth of Nile and in the coast of mediterranean sea. 

 lets see some places to give a sure visit:

1. pyramids of Giza:


A trip to Giza pyramids is the top one on the list. Its the most recognizable structure of the ancient world. Being oldest of the seven wonders it amazes the archaeologists about the method of construction.

2. Abu Simbel:

It was built as Ramsas II's great temple, with statutory guards outside its an highlight of Mesolithic architecture. The size of the temple and its statues is the important thing to note.
                   Take a blessings from Ramsas in his temple for a journey in is land!!

3. Siwa Oasis:

 On the west of the country there's a little and gorgeous oasis surrounded by date palms and plantations with numerous fresh water springs. Its the most picturesque spot on the western desert

4. Thistlegorm dive site


 Apart from temples and tombs in land, there's a whole new fascinating world below the red sea. There are so many wreck ships and monuments under the red sea and gulf of Aqaba. Most famous of them is thistlegorm site where an english ship travelled across red sea for resupply of british troops in WW II, was bombared by Germans in 1941.

5. Nile cruising: 

           
Most of the country's monuments are around the banks of river Nile. So cruising on this most famed waterway of the country should be given a thought. Multi-day cruising with night parties are best features of Nile cruise. Cruising on Nile is most relaxing way of enjoying a trip to Egypt.
