FIJI - SOFT CORAL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

                                                       FIJI

SOFT CORAL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

Fiji, a country in Oceania, most famous for its soft and colorful corals. Fiji consists of 332 islands out of which only 162 are inhabited. Tourism is the most contributing sector. There are various adventures activities and sea sports. I suggest that you can travel in post covid scenario hopefully in 2021.

Fiji would be the most relaxing place after long time of quarantine. Hot summer beaches and cold sea breeze would be the most unforgettable memory. Fiji also gives tourists a chance of hiking and mountaineering, as most of Fiji is covered with mountains and thick forests. The tallest peak is about 1324 m above sea level.

Fiji has more complex cultures with indigenous people, indentured Indian (descendants),colonial Europeans with late medieval Americans. Different people means different culture, so Fiji is full of festivals and happiness. The country is most famous for its natural beauty and decorative corals.

Fiji has two major islands, accommodating 90% of its population. The largest island of Fiji is Viti levu and another is Vanua levu. Viti levu hosts the capital city of the country 'Suva' with population of three quarters of the whole population.

Being a tropical country it is summer all the time. I would prefer to visit Fiji in month of October to February as Fiji lies in southern hemisphere it would be summer in south while winter in north, if you are from southern hemisphere take a visit during April to July. There won't be any much climate variation in Fiji.

Most common question everyone gets is Fiji open for tourists? the answer is NO, but don't want to worry the government will remove its restrictions from new year (2021), but the booking platforms are open so rush to book our tickets, as the tickets prices are lowering. so you can enjoy a much more with less expense.

EGYPT - LAND OF PHARAOHS AND PYRAMIDS

                                                                 EGYPT

                                LAND OF PHARAOHS AND PYRAMIDS

Nearly 5000 years ago there was a kingdom by Nile in a place called Egypt. The king was known as the Pharaoh. People belived he is an incarnation of the god. The people of Egypt built a great civilisation, they built ships and sailed to other countries. They built great buildings. They carved and painted lovely paintings.

Three Egyptian kings - Khufu, his son khafre, and his grandson Menkure - each ordered the people to built him a pyramid, the pyramids were to be he Kings tombs. After the kings death his body was carefully prepared and wrapped in many layers of cloths (in a process called mummification). Then it was placed in a splendid coffin that was placed in a room middle of the pyramid.

The pyramids can still be seen today in the town of Giza. it took thousands of workers to build the pyramid, but no one knew how the ancient people built this great structure without heavy machinery.

Egypt is also known as the gift of Nile, so the civilisation is Nile valley civilisation. Egypt is very well known for its cotton grown on the banks of Nile river. Egypt is like 'Oasis of Sahara'. The climate is warm all round the year but during night it will drop drastically.

Egypt is known for is welcoming attitude on tourists. There tons of places to visit in the land of pharaohs. From the modern suez canal to the ancient pyramids, Egypt has a lot of tourist attractions. There are any UNESCO sites and national mouments built in different era. The city of Alexandria was built by the great conqueror 'Alexander, the great' is situated on the mouth of Nile and in the coast of mediterranean sea.

lets see some places to give a sure visit:

1. pyramids of Giza:

A trip to Giza pyramids is the top one on the list. Its the most recognizable structure of the ancient world. Being oldest of the seven wonders it amazes the archaeologists about the method of construction.

2. Abu Simbel:

It was built as Ramsas II's great temple, with statutory guards outside its an highlight of Mesolithic architecture. The size of the temple and its statues is the important thing to note.
Take a blessings from Ramsas in his temple for a journey in is land!!

3. Siwa Oasis:

On the west of the country there's a little and gorgeous oasis surrounded by date palms and plantations with numerous fresh water springs. Its the most picturesque spot on the western desert

4. Thistlegorm dive site

Apart from temples and tombs in land, there's a whole new fascinating world below the red sea. There are so many wreck ships and monuments under the red sea and gulf of Aqaba. Most famous of them is thistlegorm site where an english ship travelled across red sea for resupply of british troops in WW II, was bombared by Germans in 1941.

5. Nile cruising:

Most of the country's monuments are around the banks of river Nile. So cruising on this most famed waterway of the country should be given a thought. Multi-day cruising with night parties are best features of Nile cruise. Cruising on Nile is most relaxing way of enjoying a trip to Egypt.

EASTER ISLAND - THE LAND OF GIANTS

                                                   EASTER ISLAND

                                                                                               THE LAND OF GIANTS

Easter island is located in the pacific ocean. The people who live on this island call it Rapa nui. But the europeans visited here, named it Paaseiland meaning Easter islands, because they arrived on easter sunday. Today easter island is a part of South American country "Chile". Easter island is only 23 km long and 11 km wide. But its the most isolated island in the world, the nearest land is about 3500 km away.

Although the island is small and isolated it is famous for its huge stone statues of people. They are called moai. there are more than
600 moai on the island. It is belived that these moai were carved after 700 AD. Interesting thing to note that is all the moai does not face toward's the sea.

No one knew why these statues were built for, many believe that the statue honored important people who were revered as gods after their death.
Archaeologists have a different explanation on these statues. It is considered that these native people are polynesians. this island was covered by rich and thick vegetation(found from pollen samples). The natives lived a rich life of having cocunut, bananas, fish, polynesian rats, etc.. They formed clans and want to display their strength and skills by erecting huge statues. They cut down every single tree in island to use it as firewood and building materials. when the europeans arrived they found barely a single tree on the island and found all the people were thin and weak. Without trees, the streams dried up, food resources depleted drastically, without logs there are no boats it means there is no means of escape.

Easter island attracts around 100000 tourists a year. best time to visit the island is during October to January. Note that the island is in southern hemisphere so when its winter in north, summer in south and vice versa.

I recommend that every person should give it a visit in lifetime.

Make use of covid-19, book tickets now to reduce the travel expense and enjoy the post covid visit.

THINGS TO PACK FOR EASTER ISLAND:

1. Hiking clothes: easter island is warm so you need hiking clothes.

2. water proof jacket - you can't predict the rain
